Think tank
After giving daddy a proper good morning salute on Saturday, I went to work pondering some of the more pressing matters of my daily life, such as, but not limited to:
1. Where is mommy and my milk or daddy, what is it you do here exactly?
1. Where is mommy and my milk or daddy, what is it you do here exactly?
2. Why is my diaper still wet or do you think snuggling me longer will make it drier?
3. What is it with those 3 strange furry creatures slinking around at ground level?
4. Is my name Julian or Perfect or Adorable or Gorgeous or what? Y'all are confusing me.

Back to work for Dad...
There are no pictures to describe the big bummer that is Dad returning to work. I thought he'd be hanging out with us everyday, forever, but he says that he has to work so I can eat, get new shoes and go to college, whatever "college" is. Nonetheless, he seemed pretty tired after his first day back and not very interested in ever returning. Mommy and I are defintely enjoying our time together and as well as all the extra snuggles I am getting from my Gran. I guess I will just have to get used to hanging with Daddy in the evening during the week until I am old enough to go to work with him everyday. xo ~Jules

Happy Mother's Day
Happy 1st Mother's Day to my mommy and to all those other mommies out there. I overheard mommy and daddy say that they are starting to really appreciate all the hard work mothers do, so here's to them. I was surprised (as is shown in one pic above) to learn that we were actually going out to a Mother's Day brunch this morning, so I put on my Sunday's best and we met our friends the Pinneys (Jason, Jen, Cormac and baby Ryan) for an interesting time at the Fruitlands Museum, our local hotspot. I was pretty sleepy and spent brunch snuggled in my car seat, but I can tell that mommy & daddy enjoyed their first meal out with me in tow.

2 weeks old today
I got a sponge bath for my 2 week bday today and mommy and daddy kept saying I looked like a sailor, which seemed odd to me since I've never been to the ocean. I loved it nonetheless and now we are off for a walk that we have been trying to go on for 4 hours. It's not them, it's me...I'm just really really hungry these last couple of days. xo ~Jules

Daddy, I'm not a vampire, but whatever...
I mean a peck on the cheek from my daddy would have sufficed here, but I am irresistible so I'll let him off the hook since he's clearly so tired. From what I can tell thus far, child rearing is a very tiring experience for these larger babies. I am not sure what the big deal is since I am such an angel baby. Oh well, my research continues... xo ~Jules
Spring is here and so am I!
After a light nap in my Haba playmat (thx again Keith and Lena, I really love it in there), some voracious feeding and a supposed trip to Target (I am told I slept from the time we got in the car until the time we got home and remember nothing of the experience), I awoke refreshed and it was time for some light gardening. With it being Spring and all, I "tended" to the flowers while mommy told me a funny story...she really has me going in this last picture. Ahh Spring...I am so glad I chose this as my first season - new life abounds, so I feel right at home. xo ~Jules

One week old today!
Boy how the time flies!! It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital and now look at me. Mommy and daddy are doing pretty well so far and are appreciating every bit of help Grandma Bev (or Grandma Cookie as I like to call her) is giving them. I mean, Daddy didnt even know it was Saturday until I told him....so sad.
For now, using a little trick I learned from Norah and Mae Strickland, I wanted to give a big one week old hello to my Uncle Eric in Chicago and Auntie Lily in Austin. I hope to get to meet you guys soon! xoxo ~Jules
